IT Consulting & Technology Advisory

Before committing to infrastructure investment, get expert advice. SIPPER conducts IT assessments, network audits, security audits, and technology roadmaps for organizations that need an independent, qualified opinion before making technology decisions.

IT Consulting Overview

Expert advice before you invest

Organizations often make expensive IT purchasing decisions without fully understanding their requirements or evaluating alternatives. SIPPER's consulting practice provides vendor-neutral advice — we assess your current state, define requirements, and recommend the right solution for your budget.

Vendor-Neutral Assessment

SIPPER holds multi-brand expertise across Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, UniFi, Yeastar, 3CX, Dell, and HPE. Our consulting is not tied to selling a specific brand — we recommend what fits your requirements, not what gives us the highest margin.

Engagement Fee: ฿15,000–฿50,000

IT consulting is priced per engagement based on scope — not hourly. A standard office IT assessment runs ฿15,000–฿25,000. A full enterprise IT audit and roadmap runs ฿35,000–฿50,000. Fixed price agreed before work begins.

Written Deliverables Included

Every consulting engagement ends with written deliverables — assessment report, architecture diagrams, and budget estimate. You leave with a document that can be used for internal approval, board presentation, or tender specification.

Advisory Services

What IT consulting covers

SIPPER offers four types of IT consulting engagements. Most clients start with an IT assessment, then engage SIPPER for implementation or ongoing managed service.

IT Assessment

SIPPER reviews your current IT infrastructure — network, voice, security, and servers. Identifies gaps, risks, and inefficiencies. Documents findings with severity ratings and recommended actions. Starting point for organizations planning IT investment.

Security Audit

Detailed review of firewall configuration, access control policies, patch management status, WiFi security, and VPN setup. Identifies security gaps before they become incidents. Includes a prioritized remediation plan.

Technology Roadmap

3-year IT investment plan aligned to your business growth. Phases infrastructure upgrades to spread cost and reduce operational risk. Each phase includes budget estimate, business justification, and vendor options.

Vendor Selection & RFP Support

SIPPER helps you define technical specifications, evaluate vendor proposals, and select the right technology partner. Particularly useful when you have received multiple quotations and need help comparing them objectively.

Deliverables

What you get at the end of every engagement

SIPPER consulting engagements always end with written documents you own — not just a verbal report. Deliverables are formatted for board presentation, internal approval, or use in a procurement process.

Assessment Report

Written findings document covering current state, identified gaps, risk ratings, and prioritized recommendations. Suitable for CIO or board presentation. Includes executive summary for non-technical stakeholders.

Architecture Diagram

Network topology diagram showing current and proposed infrastructure. Includes VLAN layout, IP addressing scheme, device placement, and interconnection. Exported in Visio or PDF format.

Budget Estimate

Itemized budget estimate covering hardware, software licenses, installation, and ongoing costs. Multiple options presented where relevant (e.g., Option A: Cisco + FortiGate vs Option B: H3C + Sophos) to support decision-making.

FAQ

Common questions about IT consulting

Is SIPPER's advice vendor-neutral if you also sell equipment?

Yes. SIPPER works with multiple brands and does not push one over another based on margin. Our consulting revenue is separate from equipment revenue — we make the same consulting fee whether the outcome favors Cisco or H3C. Clients who engage us for consulting frequently ask SIPPER to implement the recommended solution, but this is their choice.

How long does an IT assessment take?

A standard office IT assessment (20–100 users) takes 1–2 days on-site for data collection, plus 3–5 days for analysis and report writing. Total elapsed time from engagement start to report delivery is typically 2 weeks.

Can SIPPER help us prepare an RFP or TOR for government procurement?

Yes. SIPPER can draft technical specifications for your RFP or Terms of Reference (TOR) for government procurement. We ensure specifications are technology-neutral and performance-based to maximize competitive response quality.

Do you provide consulting for cloud migration decisions?

Yes. SIPPER advises on cloud vs. on-premise tradeoffs for PBX, server, and security workloads. We present a total cost of ownership (TCO) comparison over 3 years to support the decision. This is often part of a technology roadmap engagement.

What if we do not proceed with implementation after consulting?

The consulting engagement fee covers the advisory work regardless of what you decide to do next. You own the deliverables. You are free to use the documents to tender to other vendors or implement the recommendations yourself.
