How many users does 3CX support?

3CX licenses are based on simultaneous calls (channels), not users. Available from 8 to 1,024 simultaneous calls. As a rule of thumb, users scale approximately 5x per channel — for example, 8 channels supports around 40 users, and 256 channels supports around 2,048 users.

What is the difference between Professional and Enterprise?

Professional covers core PBX, call center queues, CRM integration, and video conferencing for up to 100 participants. Enterprise adds skills-based routing, start/stop call recording, Hot Desking, custom IP phone logos, video conferencing for up to 250 participants, and Microsoft Teams integration.

Can I keep my existing phone numbers?

Yes. SIPPER provides SIP Trunk service with number porting support. Your existing DID numbers can be migrated to 3CX with minimal downtime during the transition.

Does 3CX require proprietary hardware?

No. 3CX is a software-based PBX that works with any standard SIP phone. SIPPER recommends Yealink for best auto-provisioning support, but Fanvil, Grandstream, Poly, Snom, and other SIP phones work as well.

Is video conferencing included in the license?

Yes. Video conferencing is built into every 3CX license at no extra cost. Professional supports up to 100 participants and Enterprise supports up to 250. No separate app, subscription, or per-user fee required.

Can I use WhatsApp with 3CX?

Yes. 3CX natively integrates with WhatsApp Business API. Incoming WhatsApp messages appear in the same client as calls and chats. Agents can respond, transfer conversations, and escalate to a voice or video call — all from one interface.
